{"id":100130,"date":"2022-10-09T08:08:23","date_gmt":"2022-10-09T07:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=100130"},"modified":"2022-10-09T08:08:23","modified_gmt":"2022-10-09T07:08:23","slug":"16-sokoto-apc-ward-executives-defect-to-pdp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/16-sokoto-apc-ward-executives-defect-to-pdp\/","title":{"rendered":"16 Sokoto APC ward executives defect to PDP"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1746184311770214993\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ahead of the 2023 general elections, no fewer than 16 All Progressive Congress ward executives defected to the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State on Friday.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSpeaking while receiving the new members at his residence in Sokoto, the state PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, assured them of equal treatment with all other members of the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn PDP, we treat all our members the same, we always stand on our name for the people, as such I assure you that we will work together for the best future of our state and the country at large.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour decision to join us in this journey is of great concern to us as leaders and I am optimistic that with you on board we will succeed in our struggle,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A statement signed and made available to newsmen by Hassan Sahabi Sayinnawal said the chairman further called on them to continue to educate the general public on the legacy projects and initiatives of Gov. Aminu Tambuwal\u2019s led administration in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in his remarks on behalf of the new members, Alhaji Garba Dan-Sanda, said their decision to join the PDP is best on the track of record they identified in the led government of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Dan-Sanda assured that all of them will work closely with the PDP leadership in the ward, local government and state to ensure its success during the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>He appreciated the PDP\u2019s Chairman for receiving them and giving them more courage to be part of the party\u2019s struggle ahead of the 2023 electioneering period.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSome of the defectors include Aliyu Liman, Adamu Salihu, Alinbo Dan-Tudu, Abdullahi Belbela, Abdu Langebo, Hussain Langebo and Umaru Dadi.<\/p>\n<p>Others include Abubakar Isa, Agada Lajinge, Usman Kalla, Isa Suleiman, Yawale Isa, Jadi Abdullahi and Aminu Makuwana, all from Lajinge and Makuwana wards of Sabon Birni LGA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of the 2023 general elections, no fewer than 16 All Progressive Congress ward executives defected to the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State on Friday.
