Freezes State\u2019s Accounts, Makes First Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Newly sworn in Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has directed the freezing of the State government accounts with immediate effect.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He ordered all government accounting officers to comply with the directive in the interest of the state.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Similarly, Oyebanji also makes his first two appointments, as he retained Yinka Oyebode as his Chief Press Secretary.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He also appointed Dr Habibat Adubiaro, as the Secretary to the State Government.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>These were contained in separate statements signed by the Head of Service, Mr Bamidele Agbede.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The appointments, according to the statement, are with immediate effect.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Adubiaro, a devoted Muslim, served as a Special Adviser under the first term of former Governor Ayodele Fayose.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>She is presently the President of the Federation of Muslim Women\u2019s Association of Nigeria, Ekiti State Chapter.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Oyebode, a native of Ido Ile in Ekiti West Local Government Area Of Ekiti State, was appointed by Governor Kayode Fayemi in his first term as a Special Assistant on Media before being elevated to the position of Chief Press Secretary.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Fayemi appointed Oyebode into the same position in 2018 and served till the last day of the government before his reappointment by Oyebanji.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newly sworn in Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has directed the freezing of the State government accounts with immediate effect.
