{"id":100397,"date":"2022-10-17T09:56:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-17T08:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=100397"},"modified":"2022-10-17T09:56:00","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T08:56:00","slug":"kwankwaso-rejects-invitation-to-presidential-dialogue-alleges-secret-endorsement-of-candidate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/kwankwaso-rejects-invitation-to-presidential-dialogue-alleges-secret-endorsement-of-candidate\/","title":{"rendered":"Kwankwaso Rejects Invitation To Presidential Dialogue, Alleges Secret Endorsement Of Candidate"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has rejected an invitation from the Arewa Joint Committee interactive session with presidential candidates.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Arewa Consultative Forum, Arewa House, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Northern Elders Forum and Arewa Research and Development Project, are the organisers of the presidential interactive session, scheduled for Monday, October,17th.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the interactive session schedule, Kwankwaso was to address the gathering on Monday, alongside Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP had earlier addressed the gathering, on Saturday.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The rejection of the invitation was contained in a letter signed by his campaign spokesperson, Abdulmumin Jibrin, and addressed to the organisers of the joint session.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NNPP Presidential Candidate explained that he had already arranged campaign activities for the date and his technical team is still working on his policy document, on which the engagement is based.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He further alleged that his team is in possession of credible information that some people behind the engagement have been compromised, and the event will be used to \u201cclandestinely endorse\u201d another candidate from Northern Nigeria.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It read in part, \u201cWe have credible information in our possession that shows that some people have been compromised and these people have concluded plans to turn the event into an endorsement platform for a particular candidate.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe believe that it\u2019s very wrong for any group to clandestinely plan to endorse any candidate in the name of the North, especially when we have more than one candidate from our region.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The former Kano State governor alleged that the event was postponed from its earlier date to coincide with the other candidate\u2019s rally in Kaduna State.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The letter said, \u201cWe note that the earlier date was even postponed and a new date was fixed to coincide with the date of the rally of one of the presidential candidates in Kaduna.
