{"id":100607,"date":"2022-10-24T10:00:11","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T09:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=100607"},"modified":"2022-10-24T10:00:11","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T09:00:11","slug":"nema-receives-542-stranded-nigerians-from-uae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/nema-receives-542-stranded-nigerians-from-uae\/","title":{"rendered":"NEMA Receives 542 Stranded Nigerians From UAE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1747547021881626511\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received 542 stranded Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr Manzo Ezekiel, Head, Press Unit, NEMA, confirmed this in a statement in Abuja.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, the returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on board Max Air Charted flight at 4:29 a.m.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that the returnees included 79 males, 460 females and three infants.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that the returnees were screened by health officials, profiled by various relevant agencies and cleared by the Nigerian Immigration Service, before being given a token to aid their transportation to their destinations by NEMA.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, Mr Mustapha Ahmed, Director-General, NEMA, who officially received the returnees on behalf of the Federal Government, admonished them to learn from their experiences and be law abiding citizens.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ahmed, who was represented by the Director of Finance and Account of the agency, Mr Sani Jiba, added that the Federal Government had approved the evacuation and provision of the token to support their movement back to their various homes.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai, Amb.
