{"id":100874,"date":"2022-11-01T16:47:19","date_gmt":"2022-11-01T15:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=100874"},"modified":"2022-11-01T16:47:19","modified_gmt":"2022-11-01T15:47:19","slug":"miyetti-allah-protests-auction-of-cattle-in-benue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/miyetti-allah-protests-auction-of-cattle-in-benue\/","title":{"rendered":"Miyetti Allah protests auction of cattle in Benue"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has protested the confiscation and auction of millions of cattle belonging to herdsmen in Benue state.<\/p>\n<p>The group also condemned the continuous profiling of Fulani pastoralists by Governor Samuel Ortom through the anti-grazing law.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders of the group made their displeasure known through a communique at the end of the expanded national executive meeting of state chairmen of the organisation in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The communique, which was signed by the National President Alh. Abdullahi Bodejo and Secretary, Engr. Saleh Alhassan, called for immediate designation, gazette and development of all the 415 grazing reserves across the Federation.<\/p>\n<p>It also called for the establishment of a Federal Ministry of Nomadic Affairs, whose mandate would be to broaden educational opportunities and address pastoral challenges.<\/p>\n<p>It stated: \u201cThe meeting condemned the continuous profiling of Fulani pastoralists by the beleaguered Governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom through the satanic anti-grazing law that he has been using to confiscate and auction millions of cattle belonging to Fulani\u2019s in Benue-Nasarawa and Benue-Taraba boarder communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe gathering called for the immediate designation, gazzette and development of all the 415 grazing reserves across the states of the federation as the only first strategic step in addressing the challenges confronting Fulani herders in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It dismissed the consistent claims of farmers- herders conflicts as a major setback of instability and insecurity in Nigeria but insisted the conflicts are exacerbated by activities of states sponsored vigilantes and tribal hordes who willfully continue to carryout extra judicial killings of Fulani pastoralists.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has protested the confiscation and auction of millions of cattle belonging to herdsmen in Benue state.
