{"id":101174,"date":"2022-11-09T13:34:18","date_gmt":"2022-11-09T12:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=101174"},"modified":"2022-11-09T13:34:18","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T12:34:18","slug":"many-injured-as-gunmen-attack-commuters-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/many-injured-as-gunmen-attack-commuters-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway\/","title":{"rendered":"Many injured as gunmen attack commuters on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Gunmen dressed in military uniforms reportedly attacked commuters travelling on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the road from the bush before the Sagamu Interchange en route Lagos and started shooting sporadically at motorists in the 18-passenger inter-state bus.<\/p>\n<p>According to one of the victims who craved anonymity, \u201cWe (passengers) were only lucky to escape the gunmen but many of us have been injured by the bullets and our bus has been badly damaged too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another video shows a man who survived bullet wounds recounting his experience saying, \u201cI thought I was dead, having been shot by them.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cThey faced our vehicle shooting at us, we all lay down except the driver who was the target. They thought we were all dead and retreated into the bush.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe joint patrol team of police officers from Ogun and Oyo states arrived at the scene later.<\/p>\n<p>All attempts to reach the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, for further details proved abortive as of the time of filing his report.
