Today, in Lagos and Abuja, the EFCC would be prosecuting two high profile cases.<\/p>\n
The first in Abuja, involves Mustapha Audu and his wife, Zahrah Audu over a N18 million property scam.<\/p>\n
The duo have been arrested by the commission. Mustapha Audu is the son of the former Kogi governor, Abubakar Audu.<\/p>\n
They are alleged to have used their company, Constructors Guild Limited, to fraudulently obtain N18 million from one Nike Kolawole under the pretence of helping her secure choice properties in Katampe Extension, and Caemly Estate, Idu Sabo in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.<\/p>\n
The commission said the duo will be arraigned today at the Federal High Court in Abuja.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile in Lagos, the former managing director of Intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc), Mr Erastus Akingbola, who has been re-arrested by the commission and is being held at the commission\u2019s facility in Ikoyi, Lagos, would be arraigned before Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo of the Lagos High Court on fresh charges of stealing.<\/p>\n
Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo is the same judge presiding over the case involving the chairman of Bi Courtney Limited, Wale Babalakin.
