{"id":101648,"date":"2022-11-29T06:49:33","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T05:49:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=101648"},"modified":"2022-11-29T06:49:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-29T05:49:33","slug":"2023-buharis-in-law-resigns-from-apc-over-guber-primaries-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/2023-buharis-in-law-resigns-from-apc-over-guber-primaries-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"2023: Buhari\u2019s In-Law Resigns From APC Over Guber Primaries Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Honourable Sani Mamood Sha\u2019aban, an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n<p>His resignation follows the controversy, which trailed the governorship primaries of the ruling party in Kaduna.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSha\u2019ban who lost the party\u2019s ticket to Senator Uba Sani had challenged Sani\u2019s victory in court.<\/p>\n<p>But two weeks ago, the court threw away the case, saying it lacked jurisdiction to entertain it.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nAt a news briefing on Monday, a letter which Sha\u2019aban personally signed was read by his Campaign Director, Barrister Joshua Danladi Ephraim.<\/p>\n<p>Sha\u2019ban said activities of the party made him to reconsider his membership, alleging that rather than bringing dividends of democracy closer to the masses, \u201csome few elements in Kaduna APC have hijacked the party structure\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe I have in all conscience before God, done my possible best to stave off the inevitable but to no avail. I have come to the firm conclusion and resolve that in all good conscience. I cannot remain a member of the APC under present State of Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere the interest of the majority of common folks is little regarded. I cannot remain in a Party that has little or no regard for human lives , social integration, peace and traditional values<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI Sani Mamood Sha\u2019aban has officially and formerly resigned my membership of the APC at all levels today 28 November,2022,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sha\u2019aban said he is now in consultation for his next line of action, saying very soon he will announce the party he would join.<\/p>\n<p>He said he would continue to challenge the APC Governorship candidate in court despite his resignation from the party.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Honourable Sani Mamood Sha\u2019aban, an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
