{"id":102243,"date":"2022-12-31T12:12:54","date_gmt":"2022-12-31T11:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=102243"},"modified":"2022-12-31T12:12:54","modified_gmt":"2022-12-31T11:12:54","slug":"angry-dad-beats-daughter-to-death-for-calling-boyfriend-with-his-sim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/angry-dad-beats-daughter-to-death-for-calling-boyfriend-with-his-sim\/","title":{"rendered":"Angry dad beats daughter to death for calling boyfriend with his SIM"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1753725936117018433\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The police in Akwa Ibom have arrested a man, Akaninyene Sunday Okokon, for allegedly killing his 16-year-old daughter, Abasiono, for using his sim card to call her boyfriend.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nOkokon along with 195 others were paraded at the command\u2019s headquarters, in Uyo on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner of Police said the suspect was arrested by operatives of Ikot Ebo Divisional Headquarters.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe CP said the father beat his daughter until she fainted and died for using his sim card to call his boyfriend.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nHe said the victim was rushed to a prayer house instead of a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The CP said: \u201cOn 11th December, 2022, relying on redible Information, operatives of Ikot Ebo Divisional Headquarters arrested one Akaninyene Sunday Okokon who beat up his daughter until she fainted, one Abasiono Akaninyene Sunday aged 16, for using his SIM card to call her boyfriend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victim was rushed to a prayer house at Ikot Iya village instead of being taken to a hospital.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe commissioner of police said the other suspects were arrested for various offences bordering on murder, kidnapping, theft, cultism and pipeline vandalism, among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The police in Akwa Ibom have arrested a man, Akaninyene Sunday Okokon, for allegedly killing his 16-year-old daughter, Abasiono, for using his sim card to call her boyfriend.
