{"id":102503,"date":"2023-01-14T19:57:11","date_gmt":"2023-01-14T18:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=102503"},"modified":"2023-01-14T19:57:11","modified_gmt":"2023-01-14T18:57:11","slug":"why-i-dumped-pdp-prof-nwosu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/why-i-dumped-pdp-prof-nwosu\/","title":{"rendered":"Why I Dumped PDP \u2014 Prof Nwosu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In less than 42 days to the 2023 general elections, Prof ABC Nwosu, a former Minister of Health cum Board of Trustees (BoT), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dumped the party.<\/p>\n<p>This comes on the heels of the internal wrangling rocking the part following the fallout of its presidential primary that saw former Vice President Abubakar Atiku emerging as the party\u2019s flag-bearer.<\/p>\n<p>According to Prof Nwosu, he won\u2019t join another political party as he is almost 80 years of age saying he won\u2019t be in a hurry to make his next political decision.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nNwosu announced that his exit from the PDP takes effect from January 12, in a letter of resignation addressed to the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis resignation for me is a matter of CONSCIENCE and PRINCIPLE because of the party\u2019s inability to adhere to the ROTATION provision in its (PDP) Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe journey to the rotational presidency between the North and South of Nigeria has been a long and arduous one, and I have been involved.
