{"id":102629,"date":"2023-01-20T18:09:16","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T17:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=102629"},"modified":"2023-01-21T00:23:21","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T23:23:21","slug":"zlp-to-flag-of-campaign-presents-updated-manifesto-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/zlp-to-flag-of-campaign-presents-updated-manifesto-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"ZLP to flag of campaign, presents updated manifesto Saturday\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1755560814578316498\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Zenith Labour Party, ZLP has said it is flagging off its campaign for the general election with a presentation of the party&#8217;s updated manifesto.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking to journalists in Abuja Friday after the meeting of the National Executive Council meeting of the party, National Chairman of the ZLP Chief Dan Nwanyanwu said that though the party has been consulting and having grassroot consultation across the 36 states of the federation, the party now is determined to push further with its campaign with town hall meeting across the six geopolitical zones.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said, &#8220;In preparation for the 2023 general elections, we have reviewed party activities and we have also mapped out strategies towards the general elections coming up next month. We are ready for the 2023 general election. By tomorrow, Saturday, 21st of January, we will be unveiling to the whole world our updated manifesto.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;All the others are virtually saying the same thing. Not that we have not been speaking to them, but we are going to have them documented as a pact, as a covenant with the people of Nigeria. It is not late, this is the best time.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;And if you recall in the past, this is the time you go for campaigns. Forget about those with deep pockets they have been on jamboree of rallies and all that. No worries, we will see where it will all lead to.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;We are not interested in organizing the jamboree rallies that you see. We will be talking directly to the voters. We are going to be talking to people in the farms, we are going to be talking to people in the Villages. These are the people that will vote not those people you see at the rallies. Everybody here is representing a State. \u201c<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cThis election is an election of PVC. All those that are making noise for other candidates all over the world, I don\u2019t want to be specific but by the time we work for one, two weeks, Chatham House will invite us to come. Because we have something new and different.
