The Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on the security agencies, especially the Police and Department of State Services, to immediately arrest National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Debo Ologunagba for interrogation over the imaginary attack on President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

Director, Media of Publicity of APC PCC, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement issued Monday, said the invented attack on Buhari must have happened only in the fertile imagination of Ologunagba.<\/p>\n

He said just as PDP has been masterminding fake news against the APC presidential candidate and trying vainly to cause disharmony in the party; it believed the party might have planned to embarrass Buhari in Kano and then put the blame on Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state and Tinubu.<\/p>\n

Onanuga noted that Nigerians should disregard this fake news from a party that has lost touch with reality and suffering the agony of violating its own rules on power rotation.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe were not surprised to read of the imaginary attack on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria being peddled by the Peoples Democratic Party since the party has nothing tangible to tell Nigerians from its crumbling Presidential Campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is because PDP has of recent morphed from being a Buhari virulent critic to strangely becoming a Buhari spokesperson! The last time it issued a self-serving misinterpretation of As\u00edw\u00e1j\u00fa\u2019s statement in Abeokuta as an attack on President Buhari.\u201d<\/p>\n

Onanuga added that it was not impossible that PDP, through its paid agents, would organise miscreants to stage-manage an attack.<\/p>\n

The APC said it was sure that the security agencies were capable of foiling any planned attack on the President, and anyone who was caught in such an unholy plot now or in the future would have himself or herself to blame.<\/p>\n

The ruling party stressed that it should be obvious to Nigerians that the knowledge of the impending defeat of PDP at the coming presidential poll has pushed the party and its candidate into a frenzied hallucinatory mode of a mindless, ridiculous, ludicrous litany of lies and fabrications against APC and its candidate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on the security agencies, especially the Police and Department of State Services to immediately arrest PDP National Publicity Secretary for interrogation over this imaginary attack,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
