{"id":103326,"date":"2023-02-25T18:52:44","date_gmt":"2023-02-25T17:52:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=103326"},"modified":"2023-02-25T18:52:44","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T17:52:44","slug":"vote-buying-el-rufais-aides-cool-heels-in-efcc-custody-over-millions-of-new-naira-notes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/vote-buying-el-rufais-aides-cool-heels-in-efcc-custody-over-millions-of-new-naira-notes\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote buying: El-Rufai\u2019s aides cool heels in EFCC custody over millions of new naira notes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Friday night raided a White Castle hotel in Kaduna and seized millions of new naira notes.<\/p>\n<p>Some officials and aides of Kaduna State government were arrested while trying to distribute funds for Saturday\u2019s vote-buying and they have been taken into custody.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIt was gathered that Kaduna State government and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, arranged the huge sums of money for mobilisation of voters in Saturday elections.<\/p>\n<p>Operatives of the EFCC stormed the hotel which is being frequented by the APC governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani at about 7.00pm and met the cash.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe operatives, it was further learnt have been keeping surveillance on Kaduna politicians before they discovered on Friday night that funds have been moved to the White Castle Hotel by Kaduna State government and Senator no Uba Sani.<\/p>\n<p>The source said: \u201cThe incident happened around 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently some officials of the Kaduna state Government are in custody.
