The Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles \u00a0Soludo has expressed worry over the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi\u2019s call on people of the state and candidates of his party to work and vote towards LP\u2019s victory in Saturday\u2019s State House of Assembly.<\/div>\n

\nObi had met with National and state Assembly candidates of Labour Party on Friday in Awka the state capital and urged the candidates for the state legislature to work with Soludo upon their election\u00a0on Saturday March 18th 2023.<\/div>\n
\nHe said Governor Soludo remains his brother, and that he should not fear being impeached by a Labour Party dominated assembly, as bringing development remains key to the state.<\/div>\n
\nBut Soludo in his reaction through his Press secretary, Mr Chris Aburime on Saturday said the call was rather deceptive, and one meant to lay landmines for him to fall into a trap.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, \u201cThat call was meant to deceive Anambra people. Obi can not be talking about development in Anambra and also be talking about asking Anambra people to elect lawmakers from opposition party to work with Soludo.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe worked with a legislature that was dominated by lawmakers from the PDP, when he first came in as governor, and he knows that it was not easy for him. He even suffered impeachment because of that, and we hope it is not the same thing he wants to set Soludo up for.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnambra people should go all out\u00a0next Saturday\u00a0and vote for APGA, if they want the developmental strides of Mr Governor to continue.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can not be talking of development and at the same time talking of electing opposition politicians into the House of Assembly, it is not done. It is deceit.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnambra people supported Obi during the presidential election, and besides, Soludo refused to interfere as the people trooped out to vote for Labour Party, and that was even before Soludo made the environment conducive for people to come out and vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have voted Labour Party in the presidential election, but for the House of Assembly election, we are voting for APGA, and we want Anambra people to know so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soludo is poised to ensure his government secures majority of the 30 member house while Obi is determined to exert his influence in the hallowed chamber of the state Assembly.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
