{"id":105396,"date":"2023-06-13T06:26:50","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T05:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=105396"},"modified":"2023-06-13T06:26:50","modified_gmt":"2023-06-13T05:26:50","slug":"just-in-accident-claims-imo-apc-members-travelling-to-abuja-for-inauguration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/just-in-accident-claims-imo-apc-members-travelling-to-abuja-for-inauguration\/","title":{"rendered":"JUST IN: Accident claims Imo APC members travelling to Abuja for inauguration\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) travelling to Abuja from Imo State on Monday were involved in an accident which claimed their lives.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were heading to Abuja to witness the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>The bus they were travelling in had a head-on collision with another bus at Agbor in Delta State, reports PUNCH.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told the newspaper that three persons on the bus died, while others who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Two males from the Amaraku community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state and a female from the Ogbor community in the same LGA died in the auto crash.<\/p>\n<p>A chieftain of the party, who pleaded anonymity, said that the victims were the coordinators of the senator-elect for Imo North, Patrick Ndubueze, and the House of Representatives member-elect for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Mirriam Onuoha.<\/p>\n<p>The source said, \u201cThree persons died while others who sustained injuries have been rushed to hospitals. Their bus had a head-on collision with another bus and three persons, two males and a female, died. Two males from Amaraku community and a female from Ogbor community all in the Isiala Mbano LGA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were travelling in two buses. It is a sad development. The party is saddened by the development.
