{"id":105476,"date":"2023-06-17T13:54:58","date_gmt":"2023-06-17T12:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=105476"},"modified":"2023-06-17T13:54:58","modified_gmt":"2023-06-17T12:54:58","slug":"just-in-family-sacks-kanus-lawyers-ozekhome-ejiofor-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/just-in-family-sacks-kanus-lawyers-ozekhome-ejiofor-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Just in: Family sacks Kanu\u2019s lawyers Ozekhome, Ejiofor"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>The family of the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has terminated the appointment of Kanu\u2019s lead Counsel, Mike Ozekhome, SAN; and Ifeanyi Ejiofor.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement issued by Kanu\u2019s younger brother, Kanunta Kanu, and posted on his Twitter handle on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The statement entitled \u201dNotice of Dismissal\u201d, read: \u201cI hereby formally notify @MikeozekhomeSAN and @lfeanyiEjiofor that their services are no longer required in #MaziNnamdiKanu case pending before the Supreme court of Nigeria and all concerning him. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>Ozekhome\u2019s alleged refusal to allow Kanu\u2019s personal physicians access to him for the urgent ear surgery was cited by the family as part of reasons for the action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter Mazi Nnamdi kanu\u2019s case on 11th May 2023 Prof Mike Ozekhome, SAN, has refused to see his client in DSS headquarters Abuja even after several messages from #MNK to see him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecondly, for stopping the medical doctors who were to examine #MNK on 5th June even when he and Bar. lfeanyi Ejiofor were duly informed on 2nd of June and #MNK told them to inform his family to arrange that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor this obvious reasons and many more, Prof Mike Ozekhome, SAN and Barr.
