The President\u00a0 of the Senate,\u00a0 Senator\u00a0 Godswill\u00a0 Akpabio\u00a0 has named\u00a0 Chairmen for Special\u00a0 Committees in the 10th Senate.<\/p>\n

In line with the Standing Orders 2022 as Amended,\u00a0 the President named\u00a0 members\u00a0 into the Selection\u00a0 Committee\u00a0 which has him as the Chairman\u00a0 with the Deputy\u00a0 Senate President, Senator\u00a0 Jibrin Barau\u00a0 as the Vice chairman and other principal officers\u00a0 of both the majority\u00a0 and\u00a0 minority as members.<\/p>\n

Members\u00a0 of the Selection Committee\u00a0 are\u00a0Senator Opeyemi\u00a0 Bamidele,\u00a0 APC, Ekiti\u00a0 Central,\u00a0 the Senate\u00a0 Majority leader;\u00a0 Senator\u00a0 Ali Ndume,\u00a0 APC, Borno, the Senate\u00a0 Chief Whip:;\u00a0Senator\u00a0 Dave Umahi, APC, Ebonyi\u00a0 South, the Deputy\u00a0 Leader and Senator\u00a0 Lola Ashiru , APC, Kwara South,\u00a0 the Deputy\u00a0 Whip.<\/p>\n

Other members are Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon, PDP, Plateau North, the Senate -Minority Leader; Senator\u00a0 Darlington Nwokocha, LP, Abia Central, the\u00a0 Minority Whip; Senator Oyewumi Kamorudeen Olarere, PDP Osun West, the Deputy Minority Leader and Senator Rufai Hanga, NNPP,\u00a0 Kano Central,\u00a0 the Deputy Minority Whip.<\/p>\n

The Senate\u00a0 President\u00a0 named\u00a0 Senator\u00a0 Tutus Zam, APC, Benue North West as the Chairman, Rules and Business; Senator Sunday Karimi, APC, Kogi West as Chairman Senate Services Sunday Karimi; Ethics, Privileges and\u00a0 Public\u00a0 Petitions has Senator\u00a0 Okechukwu Ezea, LP, Enugu East; and Public Accounts\u00a0 Committee has Senator\u00a0 Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, SDP,\u00a0 Nasarawa West.<\/p>\n

Others are National Security and Intelligence\u00a0 Committee with Senator Shehu Umar as chairman, Legislative Compliance Committee has Senator\u00a0 \u00a0Garba Maidoki as Chairman and Media and Public\u00a0 Affairs\u00a0 has Senator\u00a0 Adeyemi Adaramodu, APC, Ekiti has Committee.<\/p>\n
