{"id":106108,"date":"2023-07-15T16:34:32","date_gmt":"2023-07-15T15:34:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=106108"},"modified":"2023-07-15T16:34:32","modified_gmt":"2023-07-15T15:34:32","slug":"njc-appoints-cjns-son-22-others-as-federal-judges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/njc-appoints-cjns-son-22-others-as-federal-judges\/","title":{"rendered":"NJC appoints CJN\u2019s son, 22 others as federal judges"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>The National Judicial Council (NJC) has appointed 23 judges for the Federal High Court.<\/p>\n<p>Ariwoola Olukayode Jnr, the son of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayoode Ariwoola, is one of the new judges.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Information of the NJC, Soji Oye, said the 23 new judges were appointed alongside one Grand Kadi and four Kadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal in Kano.<\/p>\n<p>Oye, in a statement, said the new appointments were announced on Friday in Abuja at the end of the 103rd meeting of the Council presided over by Justice Ariwoola.<\/p>\n<p>Those recommended by the NJC\u2019s interviews committee for the Federal High Court are Ariwoola Olukayode Jnr, Ekerete Udofot Akpan, Hussaini Dadan-Garba, Egbe Raphael Joshua, Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa, Aishatu Auya Ibrahim, Ogazi Friday Nkemakolam and Ogundare Kehinde Olayiwola.<\/p>\n<p>Others are Chigozie Sergius, Hauwa Joeph Yilwa, Amina Aliyu Mohammed, Sharon Tanko Ishaya, Chituru Joy Wigwe-Oreh, Musa Kakaki, Owoeye Alexander Oluseyi, Abiodun Jordan Adeyemi, Agbaje Olufunmilola Adetutu, Salim Olasupo Ibrahim, Dipeolu Ibrahim, Dipeolu Deinde Isaac, Abdullahi Muhammad Dan-Ige and Mashkur Salisu.<\/p>\n<p>The council also recommended Kadi Muhammad Aminu Danjuma for Kaduna State; Muhammad Adam Kadem, Salisu Muhammad Isa, Isa Idris Sa\u2019id and Aliyu Muhammad Kani as Kadis for Sharia Court of Appeal, Kano.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended officials will be sworn in after the approval of the president and their respective state governors.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Judicial Council (NJC) has appointed 23 judges for the Federal High Court.
