{"id":106238,"date":"2023-07-19T16:45:52","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T15:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=106238"},"modified":"2023-07-19T16:45:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T15:45:52","slug":"robbers-besiege-imo-communities-kill-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/robbers-besiege-imo-communities-kill-three\/","title":{"rendered":"Robbers besiege Imo communities, kill three"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Suspected armed robbers have unleashed terror in two Imo communities, Orogwe and Ndegwu, both in Owerri West Local Government Area of the State, killing three youths in a single raid on Tuesday night.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSources from the affected communities said the robbers who stormed the areas on Tuesday in two different motorcycles carrying two of their gang members each first robbed a local guesthouse at Umuezu Ndegwu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey ordered all the guests to lie down on the floor before forcefully dispossessing them of their cash and valuables.\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the robbers shot a guest when he allegedly refused to lie down like others while a sex worker who attempted to jump over a high fence of the guesthouse got herself wounded, breaking one of her legs in the process.<\/p>\n<p>The hoodlums further moved to Orogwe market junction the same night at about 8 pm where they also shot and killed two youths after dispossessing them of their phones and other valuables.<\/p>\n<p>Also, a reliable source said the hoodlums snatched three motorcycles from their different owners and looted shops before disappearing from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>It would be recalled that the hoodlums snatched SUV vehicle, phones belonging to the former managing director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu along the Orogwe axis on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>When contacted, the State police spokesman, Henry Okoye said the command is yet to be briefed on the incident, but assured that the \u201coperation show of force is still very much on ground everywhere in the State.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, advised: \u201cWe have to be security conscious, don\u2019t forget if you see something say something. If you see anyone with firearms report to the police, anyone making suspicious move report.
