The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected Abdullahi Ganduje, former Kano governor, as the party\u2019s national chairman.<\/p>\n

Ajibola Basiru, the former senate spokesperson, has been elected as the party\u2019s national secretary.<\/p>\n

The officials were elected today during the party\u2019s 12th NEC meeting which held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.<\/p>\n

President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima, attended the meeting.<\/p>\n

Also, present at the NEC meeting were members of the Progressive Governors\u2019 Forum (PGF) and members of the national assembly, among others.<\/p>\n

Immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo\u00a0had disclosed\u00a0beforehand that they would not be attending the meeting due to earlier commitments.<\/p>\n

However, Bisi Akande, the party\u2019s first national chairman, was also present.<\/p>\n

The party held its national caucus\u00a0meeting on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore\u00a0resigned\u00a0as the party\u2019s national chairman and national secretary respectively in July.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
