{"id":107933,"date":"2023-09-21T20:53:37","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T19:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=107933"},"modified":"2023-09-21T20:53:37","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T19:53:37","slug":"shaibu-begs-obaseki-for-forgiveness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/shaibu-begs-obaseki-for-forgiveness\/","title":{"rendered":"Shaibu begs Obaseki for forgiveness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has sought forgiveness from Governor Godwin Obaseki for any unintentional mistakes he may have committed while fulfilling his responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Shaibu who made the plea while speaking to the media said the plea became necessary to ensure that the present administration finishes well in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy governor stated this while speaking after his investiture as the Grand Patron of the Catholic Men Organisation of Nigeria of the Catholic Archdioceses of Benin.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI have always said that I am a loyal servant and nothing has changed. I took a vow to support my governor and as you can see the Catholic people are here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything about me is that if I have a vow with God, there is nothing that can change it. I can only wish that the relationship that we have before, I prayed and know that in the next few weeks it will come back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am missing my governor and I prayed that God will touch my governor\u2019s and all our hearts, and even those that are try to be in between us, God would touch their hearts to know that I mean well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there is any mistake I have made as human, it is just human and not act of wickedness because I am not wicked and I have a clean heart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used this medium to appeal to Mr. governor that if there is any mistake I have made or if there anything that I have done that I don\u2019t know of, he should please forgive me so that we can develop our state together,\u201d said the deputy governor.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nShaibu said the administration had just one year to go, and that they had been the envy of the entire country because they see their relationship as impossible.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cMr. governor if there is anything you feel I have done please I am sorry, and I need us to work together to finish well and strong because that is my prayer for you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Shaibu said he had obeyed the governor\u2019s directive to relocate to his new office, adding that he would gladly carry out any responsibility given to him by his principal.<\/p>\n<p>Shaibu expressed gratitude to the CMO for the honour, saying, \u201cl live my life in God, everything about me is God.
