The All Progressives Congress has told its rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate that they cannot get through the court what they could not secure through the ballot.<\/div>\n

\nAPC also declared that the confidence expressed by PDP following the addendum to its (PDP) appeal at the Apex Court was misplaced.<\/p>\n

The APC stressed that cases are won on the basis of credible and substantial evidence placed before the courts not on capricious and implausible tales, the kind the opposition party dumped at the Apex Court.<\/p>\n

The National Publicity Secretary of APC, Barrister Felix Morka, said the PDP and its candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar must be delusional in expecting to snatch victory through the courts.<\/p>\n

He said that PDP in its desperation has elevated blackmail, disinformation, misinformation and malicious falsehood against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all in an effort to downplay his victory at the polls .<\/p>\n

The statement reads:<\/p>\n

\u201cDeep in hallucination, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed confidence that its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, would prevail in his appeal at the Supreme Court. This vain confidence was expressed in its statement of October 22, 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cCourt cases are won on the strength of cogent, credible, compelling or substantial evidence, not on hollow, implausible, capricious tales and fabrications of the kind that Atiku Abubakar dumped on the court in the guise of a \u201cbody of evidence\u201d, evidencing nothing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PDP must also be thoroughly deluded to imagine that it can get through the court what it deservedly failed to get through the polls. Its claim that the election was \u201cmanipulated\u201d against its candidate is both ridiculous and insulting to millions of Nigerians who voted massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Presidential Candidate, now President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PDP and its candidate\u2019s desperate resort to blackmail, disinformation, misinformation and malicious falsehoods against the President and our great Party is intended to prospectively downplay what promises to be a spectacular and ignominious defeat that awaits the PDP and its nemesis of a presidential candidate\u201d Morka said .<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
