The Governorship Campaign Organization of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo state has uncovered another mischievious plot by the All Progressives Congress to manipulate the November 11 election in Imo state.<\/div>\n

A statement by the Director, Media and Publicity, Imo PDP (Sam-Jones) Governorship Campaign Organization, Ikenna Onuoha said, “This time, credible information revealed that the party under the leadership of Hope Uzodinma has allegedly imported over 4, 500 pre-loaded Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) into Imo state with a view to rigging the poll.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Information further shows that over 223, 000 figures have been loaded into the BVAS machines, while awaiting election day to be activated. Our investigation also indicates that the pre-loaded BVAS machines were used in the last Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Ebonyi State.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“It is imperative to inform the public that our investigation shows that the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Ebonyi State, Onyeka Pauline Ugochi is allegedly facilitating this illegality, in connivance with her Imo state counterpart, Prof Sylvia Agu.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Another prime suspect in the illegal deal is a Senior INEC official from Mbano, but married to an indigene of Mbaitoli LGA, all in Imo state. She knows herself and the role she is playing. Imo people will not hesitate to arrest anyone seen committing crime during this off-cycle election and thereafter, hand over such arrested suspect to the law enforcement agents for prosecution in line with section 39 and 40 (1) of the Nigeria Police Act of 2020.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Imo people are aware that Hope Uzodinma has never won election in free and fair contest, except through rigging and manipulations. Apart from being unpopular, Uzodinma does not posses the requisite experience to solve the lingering problems in the state, if not, four years is enough for a reasonable administration to proffer lasting solution to the security challenges, economic quagmire, corruption and as well, restore peace, unity and social sanity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“It is remarkable to state that under Uzodinma as Governor, Imo state has totally lost its pride of place in the national map, and currently known as the hub of insecurity where citizens’ rights and safety are not respected.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“It is a known fact that prior to Uzodinma’s assumption of office, Imo state was reckoned with as one of the first five economically viable states in Nigeria, best in education, most peaceful, secured and hospitable, but today, our state has become a laughing stock with the debt profile of over 207 billion.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“In the light of the above, our campaign council therefore warns anyone directly or indirectly encouraging electoral fraud in the state to desist or be ready to face the consequences in line with our extant laws. It will also be counter productive, preposterous and utterly absurd for anyone, no matter how highly placed to accept to parvert justice after seeing all the sufferings and hardship the APC government in Imo state has thrown the people into.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“What Uzodinma is presently scheming for is to save his face from shame that awaits him in the November 11 Governorship poll, otherwise, he would have personally accepted resignation as a better choice to avoid this looming monumental disgrace.”<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
