Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State on Monday, December 25, 2023 affirmed that President Bola Tinubu\u2019s eight-point intervention agreement was aimed at solving the political crisis in the state, saying the intervention came at the right time.<\/p>\n

Fubara said that President Tinubu\u2019s intervention had brought about lasting solution to the political crisis in the state.<\/p>\n

He explained that he had promised that the mantra of his administration would be continuity and consolidation, stressing that \u201cnothing shall constrain or allow his administration to deviate from that path in his commitment to provide a steady flow of the dividends of democracy in all positive ramifications for the people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Read him: \u201cI most heartily thank all the good people of Rivers State and all men and women of goodwill, even those beyond our shores, for the massive love and support we have received and enjoyed before and during the recent travails that challenged the peace of our state and stability of our government.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me also use this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for wading into the near-crisis that almost punctuated the prevailing peace in our dear State.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, by this singular effort, our dear President has demonstrated that he loves Rivers State and cherishes nothing short of a reign of perfect peace in our state with his Presidential Peace Proclamation on the 18th of December 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n
