{"id":110106,"date":"2024-01-12T20:57:54","date_gmt":"2024-01-12T19:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=110106"},"modified":"2024-01-12T20:57:54","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T19:57:54","slug":"breaking-tinubu-suspends-conditional-cash-transfer-n-power-school-feeding-other-social-investment-scheme-of-the-buhari-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-tinubu-suspends-conditional-cash-transfer-n-power-school-feeding-other-social-investment-scheme-of-the-buhari-govt\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Tinubu suspends Conditional Cash Transfer, N-Power, School Feeding, other social investment scheme of the Buhari govt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended all administered programmes by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).<\/p>\n<p>A statement by Segun Imohiosen, director of information in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation says the decision follows the ongoing investigation of alleged malfeasance in the management of the agency and its programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The statement reads: \u201cAll four (4) Programmes administered by NSIPA, viz; N- Power Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme and Home Grown School Feeding Programme have been suspended for a period of six (6) weeks in the first instance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also raised significant concerns regarding operational lapses and improprieties surrounding payments to the Programs\u2019 beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He has therefore constituted a ministerial panel to conduct a thorough review of the Agency\u2019s operations with a view to recommending necessary reforms of the NSIPA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the period of this suspension, all NSIPA-related activities, including but not limited to all distributions, events, payments, collaborations and registrations are now frozen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President wishes to assure the stakeholders and all Nigerians that his administration remains committed to a swift and unbiased process that will ensure that, going forward, social intervention programmes will work exactly as intended, to the benefit of the most vulnerable Nigerians.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\"><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended all administered programmes by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
