{"id":110877,"date":"2024-03-11T07:36:14","date_gmt":"2024-03-11T06:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=110877"},"modified":"2024-03-11T07:36:14","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T06:36:14","slug":"many-feared-trapped-as-five-storey-building-collapses-in-anambra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/many-feared-trapped-as-five-storey-building-collapses-in-anambra\/","title":{"rendered":"Many feared trapped as five-storey building collapses in Anambra"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The Police command in Anambra has confirmed the collapsed of a five-storey building under construction at Basden Street in Fegge, the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra.<\/p>\n<p>The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, on Sunday said details of collapsed building was still sketchy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur operatives are currently there now, though the details are still sketchy, as soon as I get the full details I will get back to you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>An eye witness, who pleaded anonymity, said that the building was meant to serve as commercial purposes on completion.<\/p>\n<p>The source said that the building collapsed in the early hours of Sunday while some of the construction workers were on the last floor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe building started from the fifth floor to collapse.
