{"id":111499,"date":"2024-04-21T17:49:24","date_gmt":"2024-04-21T16:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=111499"},"modified":"2024-04-21T17:49:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-21T16:49:24","slug":"bandits-storm-zamfara-market-kill-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/bandits-storm-zamfara-market-kill-three\/","title":{"rendered":"Bandits storm Zamfara market, kill three"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No fewer than three persons lost their lives on Sunday when bandits invaded a market in Tsafe town, headquarters of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.<\/p>\n<p>An eyewitness speaking to Channels TV said the bandits stormed the market around 11 a.m. on Sunday and opened fire on those at the market.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe bandits entered around 11 a.m. and started shooting indiscriminately towards the people at the market. The DPO of Tsafe gathered his officers on duty and locked the police station, preventing people from entering the place for shelter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, ASP Yazid Abubakar, confirmed the attack via a telephone conversation.<\/p>\n<p>While he couldn\u2019t ascertain the casualties, the state PPRO said security operatives including the military and police have engaged the bandits and have brought normalcy to the area.<\/p>\n<p>Abubakar stated, \u201cYes, there was an incident this morning in Tsafe, the bandits entered the town, and there were casualties, but I can\u2019t confirm the figures now.
