{"id":111693,"date":"2024-05-02T15:56:47","date_gmt":"2024-05-02T14:56:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=111693"},"modified":"2024-05-02T15:56:47","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T14:56:47","slug":"man-in-court-for-murder-of-14-year-old-daniel-anjorin-in-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/man-in-court-for-murder-of-14-year-old-daniel-anjorin-in-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Man in court for murder of 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin in UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1797948284388274678\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">A man has been brought before the court, facing charges for the murder of 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin in a sword attack that took place in London.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSky News reports that the Spanish-Brazilian national named Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo resides in Newham, east London and has been charged with a series of offences.<\/p>\n<p>These charges include two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary, and possession of a bladed article, the police announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Four people were injured, including two Metropolitan Police officers, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Monzo, aged 36, made an appearance at Westminster Magistrates\u2019 Court today and was subsequently remanded in custody this morning.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant was ordered to remain in custody until his appearance at the Old Bailey, scheduled for Tuesday unless a hearing can be arranged on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Anjorin was a pupil at Bancroft\u2019s private school in Woodford Green, which is also the same school attended by Nottingham knife-attack victim Grace O\u2019Malley-Kumar.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel was \u201ca wonderful child,\u201d \u201cwell-loved,\u201d and \u201chard-working,\u201d according to his family, who told Sky News that his passing \u201cleaves a gaping wound in the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They said, \u201cNo family should have to go through what we are experiencing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny family will understand it\u2019s an absolute tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to a report from the BBC, a fundraising page was created by a friend of Daniel\u2019s brother on Wednesday and has already managed to raise \u00a325,000.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s death has sparked renewed discussions about the ongoing issue of knife crime in the UK, particularly\u00a0in\u00a0London.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man has been brought before the court, facing charges for the murder of 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin in a sword attack that took place in London.
