-Warns of smear campaign against Boyloaf<\/p>\n

A group, the National Coalition for Strategic Governance (NCSG) has hinted of a campaign of calumny against ex-militant leader, Chief Ebikabowei Victor-Ben also known as General Boyloaf over his role in averting the October 1, 2010 Independence Day bombing.<\/p>\n
The incident is famous given that it targeted the assassination of former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.<\/p>\n
According to the group, those involved in the alleged smear campaign have purportedly released to the public, in social media, copies of highly classified documents in the possession of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Presidential Amnesty Office.<\/p>\n
In a press statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, and made available to newsmen in Yenagoa by its Publicity Secretary, Comrade Kolawole Mustafa, the group stated that the leaked classified documents include written statements inside the DSS Headquarters on how General BoyLoaf, single-handedly worked with high ranking DSS officials and provided Intel that drastically reduced the impact of the 1st October 2010 assassination attempt on Dr. Jonathan.<\/p>\n
Also targeted were members of the then Federal Executive Council and members of the diplomatic corps.<\/p>\n
According to the group, \u201cthe highly classified documents was posted on the Facebook page of the “Meinbutus Voices.\u201d It was alleged that Mr Denis Otuaro the Amnesty Boss severally visited the \u201cMeinbutus Voices\u201d where they took group pictures and posted them on their Facebook page.”<\/p>\n
The statement continued, “All of a sudden, these highly classified documents, which were in possession of the State, suddenly started flying around on the Facebook page of the \u201cMeinbutus Voices\u201d meant to incite uninformed citizens against General BoyLoaf, and to label him as an informant for working with the security agents to save the life of his brother, kinsman and then-President Goodluck Jonathan.<\/p>\n
“In order to preserve the integrity of these professional security agencies, we are calling on the National Security Adviser,\u00a0 Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Director General of the DSS, Mr Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi to urgently recommend the immediate suspension of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Mr. Dennis Otuaro and to immediately arrest and prosecute members of the Meinbutus Voices in the Niger Delta region for their illegal release of classified documents on their Facebook page.<\/p>\n
“It is particularly important to note that the documents in question surfaced on the Facebook profile of Meinbutus Voices, with their group picture with the Amnesty Boss Mr. Dennis Otuaro and Mr. Henry Okah who was convicted of terrorism.<\/p>\n
“These pictures were prominently featured and displayed on their Facebook cover page.<\/p>\n
“We must ask if Dennis Otauro and his gang were sympathizers or financiers of Henry Okah\u2019s gang as at 2010,\u00a0 or whether they were unsatisfied that Henry Okah and his gang failed in their mission to assassinate the former President of Nigeria from the Niger Delta region and his cabinet members?”<\/p>\n
The statement further noted that “In addition to these classified documents being leaked, a confidential report written by Otuaro\u2019s predecessor Hon. Kingsley Kuku, that was addressed to the DSS DG since 2012 which has only being in the custody of the Amnesty office and the DSS were among the documents that were leaked to the public.<\/p>\n
“This breach and failure did not only compromise the integrity of the DSS, but also exposes our national security. Which is why we need urgent answers on why someone who is serving as the current Amnesty Boss will allegedly leak classified documents.”<\/p>\n
“The Kingsley Kuku\u2019s report to the DSS was inside the Amnesty office while the attempted assassination of President Jonathan\u2019s statement which was hand-written by General BoyLoaf and kept hidden inside the DSS Headquarters and has always and only been in the DSS headquarters were leaked on Facebook.”<\/p>\n
“Most surprisingly, both secret documents were leaked at the same time on \u201cMeinbutus Voices\u201d Facebook page shortly after meeting with Mr. Dennis Otuaro, the Amnesty Boss. How were these classified documents leaked to the public? Did they pay someone inside the DSS Headquarters to give them these documents?”<\/p>\n
The group said it has petitioned the South African Government, the United States Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the British Government and several governments around the world to launch investigations of alleged Terrorism Financing and International Money Laundering “Between these individuals and Henry Okah\u2019s gang in their failed assassination plot of their country\u2019s Presidents and Diplomats that was at the Eagle Square on 1st October 2010.”<\/p>\n
“May we remind the world that the information that General BoyLoaf provided to High-ranking DSS Agent enabled them to stop all vehicles from going into Eagle Square. This move possibly saved the lives of hundreds of people, including the life of the then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR.”<\/p>\n
