{"id":114706,"date":"2024-10-18T19:18:18","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T18:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=114706"},"modified":"2024-10-18T19:18:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-18T18:18:18","slug":"2027-abure-not-working-for-apc-lp-counters-nlc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/2027-abure-not-working-for-apc-lp-counters-nlc\/","title":{"rendered":"2027: Abure not working for APC, LP counters NLC\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1813270847357607032\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Labour Party (LP) has denounced the Nigeria Labour Congress Political Commission (NLC-PC) for accusing the Julius Abure leadership of the party of working to advance the interests of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe National Publicity Secretary of the LP, Obiora Ifoh, made the party\u2019s position public in Abuja on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Ifoh said, \u201cRecently, after the landmark court judgment affirming the leadership of Barrister Julius Abure as the national chairman of the Labour Party, some persons, including a former nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, and the acting chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Political Commission, Prof. Theophilus Ndubuaku, have tried to push the narrative that the Labour Party, under the leadership of Barrister Julius Abure, is working for the APC, and that is why the LP has been winning all its court cases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The LP Spokesperson described such narratives as misleading, mischievous, and a calculated attempt to continue to distract, derail, and also give the party leadership a bad name in order to hang it.<\/p>\n<p>Ifoh said, \u201cI must state clearly that the LP has been and is still critical of APC more than NLC.
