{"id":114786,"date":"2024-10-23T16:07:15","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T15:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=114786"},"modified":"2024-10-23T16:07:15","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T15:07:15","slug":"breaking-tinubu-scraps-niger-delta-sports-ministries-merges-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-tinubu-scraps-niger-delta-sports-ministries-merges-others\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Tinubu scraps Niger Delta, sports ministries, merges others"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1813714338924421306\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Bola Tinubu has scrapped two ministries \u2013 the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Ministry of Sports Development, according to his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nMr. Onanuga said the reshuffle was decided on Wednesday at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will now be a ministry of regional development to oversee all the regional development commissions, such as Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, North East Development Commission,\u201d the presidential spokesman wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe National Sports Commission will take over the role of the Ministry of Sports,\u201d Onanuga said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the president has also approved the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.<\/p>\n<p>This leaves Abubakar Momoh, Niger Delta Affairs Minister, and John Enoh, Minister of Sports Development, without ministries to oversee.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Bola Tinubu has scrapped two ministries \u2013 the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Ministry of Sports Development, according to his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.
