President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on Monday, sworn in seven new ministers that were recently nominated\u00a0\u00a0and screened by the senate.<\/div>\n

\nThe swearing in ceremony was done at the Council Chamber of the Aso Villa,\u00a0\u00a0Abuja.<\/p>\n

The Senate had on Thursday last week confirmed all the seven nominees after being screened individually.<\/p>\n

The new cabinet members took the oath of office in two batches\u2014four in the first batch and three in the second\u2014after their citations were read by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye.<\/p>\n

The New ministers were appointed two week ago after President Tinubu sacked five of his ministers from his cabinet during a major cabinet reshuffle on October 23.<\/p>\n

President Tinubu also approved the reassignment of 10 ministers to new portfolios, and nominated seven new ministers for onward transmission to the Senate for confirmation.<\/p>\n

The newly appointed ministers and their portfolios are:<\/p>\n

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda \u2013 Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction<\/p>\n

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi \u2013 Minister of Labour & Employment<\/p>\n

Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu \u2013 Minister of State, Foreign Affairs<\/p>\n

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole \u2013 Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment<\/p>\n

Idi Mukhtar Maiha \u2013 Minister of Livestock Development<\/p>\n

Yusuf Abdullahi Ata \u2013 Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development<\/p>\n

Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad \u2013 Minister of State, Education<\/p>\n

The newly appointee are expected to assume duty immediately duty to contribute to the administration\u2019s goals in their respective areas.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
