The Presidency has knocked former President Olusegun Obasanjo following news of that trucks have started loading Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at the Port Harcourt refinery.<\/p>\n
\nIn 2023, Obasanjo expressed the belief that Nigeria\u2019s refineries won\u2019t work as long as they were controlled by government.<\/p>\n

He also stated that based on information he got from Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) about the refineries, effort by President Bola Tinubu to get them running by December 2024 won\u2019t be successful.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we are still where we were. Someone told me Tinubu said refineries would work by December. I told the person the refineries would not work. This is based on the information I received from Shell when I was the president,\u201d he told The Cable.<\/p>\n

Reacting, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, reminded Obasanjo that \u201conly Almighty God possesses the divine authority to declare what is achievable or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said this in a post on X , titled, \u2018Never Say Never: A Lesson For All Mortals,\u2019 as the Port Harcourt refinery began \u201coperations, producing petroleum products against all odds and skepticism.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the development serves as a profound reminder to all of humanity, including Nigeria\u2019s former leaders, that perseverance, determination, and faith in our capabilities can overcome even the harshest challenges.<\/p>\n

Let us learn from this moment that limits are often set by our own doubts, and with collective effort and unwavering resolve, we can bring about the change we seek, Onanuga concluded.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
