{"id":118165,"date":"2025-05-01T03:06:25","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T02:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=118165"},"modified":"2025-05-01T03:06:25","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T02:06:25","slug":"accord-farmers-due-respect-nipss-dg-tells-nigerians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/accord-farmers-due-respect-nipss-dg-tells-nigerians\/","title":{"rendered":"Accord Farmers Due Respect , NIPSS DG Tells Nigerians"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Daniel Adaji<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Director General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Prof. Ayo Omotayo, has urged Nigerians to stop looking down on farmers, stressing that they toil hard to produce food yet gain little from their labour.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He stated this on Wednesday in Abuja during a visit to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cFarmers struggle to bring things out from the ground and don\u2019t even benefit from what they do. We must all learn to value farmers by producing at least a part of what we eat.\u201d Omotayo said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The NIPSS team, comprising participants of the Senior Executive Course 47, 2025, was received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, DrDrarcus Ogunbiyi, on behalf of the Minister, Sen.
