{"id":119047,"date":"2025-05-22T16:57:48","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T15:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=119047"},"modified":"2025-05-22T16:57:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T15:57:48","slug":"2027-coalition-has-not-adopted-adc-lukman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/2027-coalition-has-not-adopted-adc-lukman\/","title":{"rendered":"2027: Coalition has not adopted ADC \u2013 Lukman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1832833824199550442\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Myke Agunwa<\/div>\n<div id=\"m#msg-f:1832833824199550442-content\" class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Former National Vice Chairman (North-West) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and strong member of the mega coalition against President Bola Tinubu\u2019s re-election project, Malam Salihu Lukman has dismissed allegations that the coalition has adopted African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a\u00a0 the platform.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was reported that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai have reportedly adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the official platform for the mega coalition.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a Bloomberg article, the trio reached the decision after a high-level meeting held on Tuesday, signalling the formal emergence of the long-anticipated political alliance.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lukman described the report as misleading and false, claiming that it has adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a political platform.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement on Thursday, Lukman urged the public to disregard the report which he said is completely false, adding that no such decision has been taken.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that when negotiation is concluded, a formal announcement will be made by the leaders of the coalition.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement reads: \u201cMy attention is drawn to a Newspaper publication claiming that I have been appointed to head the Secretariat of the coalition. The public should disregard the story as it completely false.
