The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike has reiterated his position that the purported feud between him and suspended Rivers State, Governor, Siminalayi Fubara is untrue.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This is just as he distanced himself from the escalating internal crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing it as a product of impunity and injustice.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The Minister made the disclosure on Monday in Abuja during his usual live chat with media men, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve made it clear that this impunity, this injustice, will not stand, I don\u2019t have any crisis with Governor Fubara. None whatsoever.\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Wike accused unnamed political actors whom he referred to as \u201cundertakers\u201d of deliberately plunging the PDP into chaos for selfish gain.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWhat is happening in the PDP is the handiwork of people I can only describe as undertakers. I don\u2019t understand why anyone would willingly put themselves in the middle of such a crisis,\u201d he lamented.<\/div>\n

He added that Fubara allowed himself to be used to fight him, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t want a crisis. But the governor, unknown to me, handed himself over to those who couldn\u2019t confront me directly; he allowed them to use him to fight me,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n

Wike who is the former governor of Rivers State revealed that his relationship with Governor Fubara is like that of father and son.<\/div>\n

\u201cYou raise a child, feed him, send him to school, and one night, he returns home only to shoot you. Just imagine how that feels,\u201d Wike said.<\/div>\n

Speaking on the issue of a possible state of emergency in Rivers, the former governor distanced himself from such calls, saying the matter was within the exclusive purview of President Bola Tinubu.<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not the president. I never supported a state of emergency. But I understand why it was considered at the time because the government was almost being impeached. Still, the president, in his wisdom, handled it differently.<\/div>\n

The Minister further took a swipe at some of his party members saying they spend more time in the media than serving the people.<\/div>\n

\u201cThese TV politicians make me feel bad. They speak as if they understand governance, yet they are nowhere near the people,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n
