{"id":119438,"date":"2025-06-04T20:12:28","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:12:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=119438"},"modified":"2025-06-04T20:12:28","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:12:28","slug":"oagf-pledges-full-treasure-support-for-frsc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/oagf-pledges-full-treasure-support-for-frsc\/","title":{"rendered":"OAGF pledges full treasure support for FRSC\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>By Daniel Adaji<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has pledged full financial support to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), ensuring that the agency gets prompt release of all entitlements and allocations.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Shemseldeen Ogunjimi,\u00a0 gave the assurance during a working visit to the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Mr. Shehu Mohammed, in Abuja on Tuesday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a statement on Wednesday, Ogunjimi reaffirmed the Treasury\u2019s commitment to helping the Corps achieve its mandate of keeping Nigerian roads safe.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cYour officers and men are always on the road trying to keep the roads safe. For us at the Treasury, we will continue to support the FRSC. I want to assure you that every bit of your request and needs will be given prompt attention,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He added that the OAGF recognises the crucial role the FRSC plays in safeguarding lives and will continue to prioritize its financial needs. He also commended FRSC personnel for their dedication despite operational challenges.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe relationship between our office and the FRSC has always been cordial. We will strengthen and sustain that cooperation going forward. I commend your commitment to duty. Don\u2019t relent in your efforts,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In his address, the FRSC Corps Marshal\u00a0 thanked the AGF for the visit and acknowledged the Treasury\u2019s ongoing support.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cRoad safety has become a global agenda. The Federal Road Safety Corps will not relent in its determination to ensure safety on Nigerian roads,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mohammed outlined several challenges facing the Corps and called for increased budgetary support.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cNo strategy to promote road safety can succeed without adequate enforcement.
