In a coordinated military onslaught, troops of Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Military launched simultaneously air and ground attacks in the early hours of today, June 9, 2025, targeting the dreaded Boko Haram and ISWAP strongholds in Yobe and Borno States respectively.<\/div>\n

The operations resulted in major casualties among terrorist ranks and notably, the neutralization of a high-profile commander.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The synchronized offensive struck at two key locations: Nzalgana in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State and the infamous Tumbuktu Triangle, a vast and challenging terrain that has long served as a haven for insurgent activities.<\/div>\n

Military sources confirm that both air assets and ground troops worked in concert, delivering a devastating blow to the terrorist groups.<\/div>\n

A major victory in today’s operation is the confirmed neutralization of Ameer Malam Jidda.<\/div>\n

Jidda, described as a top commander, had been a significant figure in the terrorist hierarchy, orchestrating operations from the villages of Ngorgore and Malumti.<\/div>\n

\u201cNotably, Ameer Malam Jidda, a top commander in Ngorgore and Malumti Villages, was neutralized. Meanwhile, in Abadam, additional bodies of terrorists and seized weapons were recovered following the recent military operation in Mallamfatori,\u201d the army started on its X application handle (formerly Twitter).<\/div>\n

His elimination is considered a critical disruption to the command and control structure of the insurgents, potentially weakening their operational capabilities across the region.<\/div>\n
