Instead of accepting responsibility for his lateness, the Edo lawmaker allegedly chose to create chaos and gridlock, leaving dozens of passengers stranded and delayed.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The airline has unequivocally reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy for violence after the incident disrupted airport operations and left numerous travelers frustrated.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sources indicated that the terminal manager&#8217;s repeated efforts to resolve the disruption were met with obstinate refusal by Oshiomhole, forcing the regional manager to intervene.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">A management meeting was reportedly convened in haste to pacify the senator and convince him to allow normal airport operations to resume.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement released and published on the airline&#8217;s website titled \u201cUnruly Conduct By Prominent Politician At Lagos Airport: Air Peace Reaffirms Zero Tolerance For Violence,\u201d the airline detailed what transpired at the airport.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement read in part, \u201cAir Peace strongly condemns the unruly conduct of a prominent Nigerian politician who disrupted airport operations on the morning of Wednesday, June 11, 2025.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe prominent individual in question arrived at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 1 (Zulu Hall) at approximately 06:10 AM for Flight P47120 scheduled to depart Lagos for Abuja at 06:30 AM. In line with our standard on-time departure policy, the boarding process had closed, and the flight departed as scheduled.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cUpon being informed of the missed flight, the politician resorted to violence, physically assaulting our staff and forcefully barricading the terminal&#8217;s entrance. He went as far as sealing the entry gate and manning the access point, effectively obstructing other passengers from gaining entry into the terminal.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This unacceptable behaviour caused significant disruption to ongoing operations and affected numerous travelers scheduled for various flights.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The situation quickly escalated upon the politician being informed of the missed flight.
