{"id":119755,"date":"2025-06-15T18:20:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T17:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=119755"},"modified":"2025-06-15T18:20:52","modified_gmt":"2025-06-15T17:20:52","slug":"wike-to-build-new-inec-hq-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/wike-to-build-new-inec-hq-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"Wike to build new INEC HQ in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>By Myke Agunwa<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has disclosed plans to build a new headquarters for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Maitama District, Abuja.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Lere Olayinka, senior special assistant on public communications to Nyesom Wike, who made the disclosure on Sunday, said that President Bola Tinubu will flag off the construction of the new INEC headquarters next week.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said that President Tinubu will continue the inauguration of completed projects and flag off the construction of new ones in the FCT to mark his second anniversary in office.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Recall that Wike earlier flagged off the design and construction of 40 judges&#8217; quarters in the Katampe District of Abuja around November 2024.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Wike also completed the construction of the vice president\u2019s residence in June at the cost of N22 billion.
