{"id":119939,"date":"2025-06-22T09:20:23","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T08:20:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=119939"},"modified":"2025-06-22T09:20:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T08:20:23","slug":"efcc-arrests-benue-governors-aide-for-alleged-extortion-cyber-bullying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/efcc-arrests-benue-governors-aide-for-alleged-extortion-cyber-bullying\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Arrests Benue Governor\u2019s Aide for Alleged Extortion, Cyber Bullying"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1835571463340703330\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div id=\"m#msg-f:1835571463340703330-header\" class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Lizzy Chirkpi<\/div>\n<div id=\"m#msg-f:1835571463340703330-content\" class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested the Special Adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona for alleged sextortion and cyber bullying.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was arrested on Friday June 20, 2025 in Makurdi following claims of some female students accusing the governor\u2019s\u00a0 aide of unethical and criminal behavior involving sexual exploitation,\u00a0 cyber bullying and\u00a0 blackmail.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The notice of the arrest was made public on the agency&#8217;s official X handle, formerly Twitter on Saturday, 21 June 2025.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The petitioners alleged that Aondona was routinely recruiting slim and attractive girls for ushering jobs and insisted on\u00a0 sexual favours as a condition for selection.\u00a0 Based on this, they became vulnerable to having sexual affairs with him\u00a0 but unknown to them,\u00a0 he had videos of every sexual act without their consent and was always threatening to leak the\u00a0 videos if they refused to continue having sex with him.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aondona was also alleged to be involved in blackmail\u2014sending explicit videos of the girls allegedly recorded without their knowledge or consent through several\u00a0 messaging platforms.
