Ahead of the 100th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, slated for 1pm today, an earlier meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) scheduled for 10am at the NEC hall, PDP national secretariat, Abuja has been halted.<\/div>\n

Security officials were seen chasing BoT members out of the NEC hall, saying that there was an order that no meeting should hold in the hall.<\/div>\n

Speaking with journalists on the development, former National Secretary of the party, Ibrahim Tsauri who spoke with journalists on the development said, \u201cWhen we entered the hall, a police man came to us and said, you cannot hold the meeting here you should go. When we enquired further to know who gave the instructions, he said responded, order from above\u201d.<\/div>\n

Meanwhile several BoT members were seen stranded at the party\u2019s premises, unable to access the hall and hold any meeting.<\/div>\n

Recall that the BoT chairman, Sen. Adolphus Wabara is among the faction controlled by Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde and Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah who are insisting that the 100th NEC must go on. They are also backed by 10 about of 17 members of the National Working Committee (NWC), led by Deputy National Chairman South, Taofeek Arapaja.<\/div>\n

Wabara kicked against the return of Anyanwu as PDP National Secretary and further kicked against the cancellation of 100th NEC.<\/div>\n
