Nigeria\u2019s Super Falcons have received glowing commendations from the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and the First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, following their dramatic victory at the 2025 Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).<\/div>\n

The duo applauded the team\u2019s resilience, unity, and determination after they clinched a historic 10th continental title with a stunning comeback win against Morocco.<\/div>\n

In separate statements on Sunday, both women praised the Falcons\u2019 resilience, tenacity, and representation of the Nigerian spirit after their thrilling 3\u20132 comeback win over host nation Morocco in Rabat on Saturday night.<\/div>\n

Odumegwu-Ojukwu, in a message titled “Super Falcons are Nigeria\u2019s Strongest Ambassadors” described the players as the pride of the nation and a symbol of the country\u2019s strength on the global stage.<\/div>\n

\u201cYou have once again made us proud. You have proven to the world that Nigeria is a country of winners, fighters, and champions,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n

She highlighted the team’s discipline, unity, and courage during the final, saying their victory not only brought joy to millions but also reaffirmed the immense potential of Nigerian women in global sports.<\/div>\n

On her part, Mrs. Nonye Soludo congratulated the Super Falcons for what she called a \u201chistoric triumph,\u201d commending them for their display of the Nigerian can-do-it\u00a0 spirit and their role in promoting gender equality through sports.<\/div>\n

\u201cOur girls have shown the world what determination, skill and patriotism can achieve. They\u2019ve made us all proud as a nation and as mothers, sisters, and daughters,\u201d the Anambra First Lady stated.<\/div>\n
