May their souls rest in peace. SPEED KILLS,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0An eyewitness eyewitness lamented.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;It was so clear they were well boozed. I quickly parked off the road to allow them pass. You See how badly it has end?&#8221;\u00a0 Said a man who identified himself as Shegs.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Online anger against the accident has been virulent too.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;You see how they caused other casualties cause of their st00pidity? May I never be a victim of someone else\u2019s bad choice.\u201d an X user wrote.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another added:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cRacing on Lagos expressway that doesn\u2019t have street lamps and unruly drivers. They always say drive like your family is a passenger in the other cars on the road. It\u2019s sad.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In spite of frequent campaigns on the dangers of over-speeding and highway recklessness, many road users continue to see little wrong in racing like maniacs. The death of late rapper Dagrin, widely blamed on alcohol and over-speeding, remains a painful example of this persistent issue.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Road safety advocates argue that mandates like \u201cSpeed kills! Highway indiscipline is intolerable,\u201d must translate into stronger, uncompromising enforcement. They insist traffic violations should carry piercing consequences \u201cirrespective of status in society.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that officials rushed victims to the hospital, where several were pronounced dead. Earlier data from the FRSC shows that between January and July 2025, road crashes claimed 112 lives, with reckless driving and overloading cited as leading causes.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2010, Dagrin,\u00a0 A burgeoning rapper who died in a Lagos crash was\u00a0 linked to over-speeding and alcohol.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2011, another epic Afrocentric highlife maestro, MC Loph Lost his life in a road accident along Benin-Ore Road.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2011, there was also one that involved CD John, a\u00a0 comedian who perished in a crash shortly after a performance in Lagos.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ganiyu \u201cFlexy\u201d Oyedepo, a rising singer was\u00a0 killed in a Lagos car accident in 2017.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">These stories highlight an alarming pattern, where speeding, poor road conditions, and weak enforcement continue to claim lives across the industry and beyond. This should get everyone angry to demand a stoppage and strict enforcement of highway laws.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although this latest accident did not involve Seyi Vibez himself, it tragically struck among his fans who were returning from his show. Observers stress that both celebrities and their supporters must endeavor to be on their best behavior, especially on the highways.
