Former Big Brother Naija star and entrepreneur, Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has urged young women not to restrict themselves to one relationship before marriage, advising them to \u201ckeep their options open.\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Speaking on The Podcast Network on YouTube, Tacha said women face different societal expectations compared to men and should therefore be more strategic in navigating love and relationships.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cYou need three other boyfriends in your life. I\u2019m not saying to sleep with all the boyfriends, but at least\u2026 you just never really know,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She further advised women to remain single until marriage and not let current relationships stop them from finding their life partners.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cEvery girl should be single till they\u2019re actually married. Don\u2019t let your boyfriend stop you from meeting your husband,\u201d she added.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The reality star argued that women do not enjoy the same freedom as men, stressing that this requires them to act differently.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe kind of grace that the guys have is not the same kind of grace that we have. So we need to be able to move differently,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On the subject of life abroad, Tacha cautioned Nigerians against assuming that living overseas guarantees comfort and success. She noted that, in reality, life abroad can be more challenging than in Nigeria.<\/div>\n

\u201cAs much as it\u2019s hard here in Nigeria, it\u2019s even harder abroad, honestly,\u201d she said, adding that many people avoid returning home because they fear being mocked for \u201cnot making it.\u201d<\/div>\n

According to her, social media often hides the struggles of Nigerians overseas, which range from financial pressure to loneliness. Sharing her personal experience, she recalled losing two pieces of luggage in Paris, describing it as one of the difficulties she faced abroad.<\/div>\n

\u201cPeople go through great pressure to give an impression that really, really does not exist. It\u2019s not this hard back here in Nigeria,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n

Tacha praised Nigeria\u2019s communal support system, which she believes makes daily life easier.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cYou can go to your junction and say, \u2018Mama Ki, give me something of 7,000. By the end of the month, I\u2019ll pay you.\u2019 I feel like there\u2019s a lot more to be happy and bright about over here in Nigeria than there in the UK,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n

She also urged Nigerians to channel their resilience and outspoken nature into changing the country\u2019s global image.<\/div>\n

\u201cWith how loud and rugged we are, we should use that to get what we want in the country. It took a long time for us to get here, and it will take a long time to change the notion the world has about Nigeria,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n

Tacha rose to prominence during the 2019 edition of Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem, where she quickly became one of the most talked-about contestants.<\/div>\n
