The race to occupy the Lagos State Government House in 2027 has gained more momentum as former Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor, said that his ambition is to further promote inclusive governance and development in the state.<\/div>\n

Jandor made these remarks in an interview on Sunday, emphasizing that his aspiration is not merely about personal ambition but about articulating a shared vision for Lagos\u2019s future.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cIt is about stewardship, about building a Lagos where opportunity, innovation, and prosperity are accessible to all,\u201d Adediran said.<\/div>\n

He added that he is aiming for Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu\u2019s seat to strengthen accountability, transparency, and service delivery, stressing that he is a firm believer in party supremacy and will subordinate his ambitions to the party\u2019s decisions for 2027.<\/div>\n

According to him, his team will work tirelessly to ensure that the APC not only wins electorally but also provides meaningful results for Lagos residents.<\/div>\n

\u201cToday, we are in APC and we are happy to return home where we belong. In 2023, I ran for the highest office in the state.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cI was on the ballot, not an accidental candidate. I chose to run for governor in 2023 with a major political party, which is the PDP, and we have not strayed from that path.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cI am also here in APC to continue where I left off. I am running again. I\u2019m running in 2027 for the governorship of Lagos State.<\/div>\n

\u201cWe will follow the internal democracy of the APC, and whatever the party decides, we will support that. I am running for governor of Lagos State in 2027 under APC,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n
