Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has pledged to collaborate with Bildup AI Learning to strengthen Nigeria\u2019s technological capacity and accelerate human capital development across the country.<\/div>\n

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu made this known during a visit to the Bildup AI Learning Hub in Enugu on Saturday. The visit, which took place alongside the House Majority Leader, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, and other lawmakers on the sidelines of the House Committee on Constitution Review Retreat, highlighted how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used to revolutionize learning among young Nigerians.<\/div>\n

Kalu noted that building human capacity through technology is essential for national advancement, stressing that Nigeria must position its youth to compete globally in digital innovation and service exportation.<\/div>\n

He assured that his office would collaborate with Bildup AI Learning to amplify its visibility and attract necessary partnerships from relevant government agencies, development partners, and corporate bodies. According to him, such synergy would stimulate innovation, drive entrepreneurship, and contribute significantly to Nigeria\u2019s economic transformation.<\/div>\n

\u201cWe must expand this initiative, and that\u2019s where government collaboration becomes critical,\u201d Kalu stated. \u201cWe will engage with the Ministries of Education and Science and Technology to ensure more support for this innovation. There are NGOs and private partners willing to invest in credible projects like this, and we\u2019ll help create those linkages. This is not about politics, it\u2019s about national progress. Human capital is one of our most valuable resources.\u201d<\/div>\n

The Deputy Speaker commended Bildup AI Learning for its forward-thinking approach in equipping young Nigerians with digital skills, aligning with President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda which prioritizes youth empowerment and innovation.<\/div>\n

\u201cAcross the globe, Nigerians continue to excel using the power of creativity and intellect,\u201d Kalu said. \u201cWe must now shift from exporting raw goods to exporting digital services powered by our people. Imagine young Nigerians working remotely for global companies such as Oracle, Facebook, or Instagram while residing here at home, earning foreign exchange and creating value for our economy. That\u2019s the vision we are pursuing.\u201d<\/div>\n

Encouraging the trainees to sustain their passion for learning and innovation, Kalu described them as \u201cchange-makers\u201d redefining Nigeria\u2019s development narrative. He further suggested that Bildup\u2019s AI learning model be adopted as part of lawmakers\u2019 constituency projects to make modern education more accessible to students in all regions.<\/div>\n

\u201cBildup has made learning affordable, practical, and engaging. As representatives of our people, we should integrate this model into our constituency programmes to empower youths with 21st-century skills. Investing in human capacity remains the most sustainable way to build a prosperous nation,\u201d he emphasized.<\/div>\n

Earlier, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bildup AI Learning, Mr. Chibuike Aguene, said the innovation aims to democratize education by offering every student equal access to quality teaching through Artificial Intelligence.<\/div>\n

\u201cWhat you see here is Africa\u2019s first homegrown AI-powered learning system that interacts with students just like a human instructor,\u201d Aguene explained. \u201cIt has already been adopted by some schools, leading to remarkable results. For instance, a student who used Bildup to prepare for JAMB scored 97 in Mathematics after only two weeks of study.\u201d<\/div>\n

He further explained that the technology creates a personalized learning experience, bridging the gap caused by the limited teacher-to-student ratio in classrooms. \u201cOur goal is not to replace teachers but to enhance their impact. This innovation was entirely developed here in the South East, proving that African solutions can address African challenges,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n

Aguene also disclosed that Bildup provides an online marketplace where skilled graduates from its programmes can be connected with both local and international employers, thereby linking Nigerian tech talent with global opportunities.<\/div>\n

He concluded that the Bildup initiative represents a transformative step for Africa\u2019s education system, ensuring that technology becomes a tool for inclusion and empowerment rather than exclusion.<\/div>\n
