{"id":12307,"date":"2013-04-18T19:10:52","date_gmt":"2013-04-18T18:10:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=12307"},"modified":"2013-04-18T19:10:52","modified_gmt":"2013-04-18T18:10:52","slug":"acn-convention-approves-merger-into-apc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/acn-convention-approves-merger-into-apc\/","title":{"rendered":"ACN Convention Approves Merger Into APC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The over 4,000 delegates at the convention of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, officially approved the merger of the party with three others to form the All Progressives Congress, APC.<\/p>\n<p>The delegates also approved the retention of the broom symbol as the APC symbol at Thursday\u2019s national convention at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The congress also approved the expulsion of an ACN member from Kaduna State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome alliances in the past only facilitated corruption; they were a rape to democracy.
