{"id":123268,"date":"2025-10-24T16:53:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T15:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=123268"},"modified":"2025-10-24T17:21:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T16:21:56","slug":"breaking-tinubu-reshuffles-military-leadership-amid-coup-rumour-denial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-tinubu-reshuffles-military-leadership-amid-coup-rumour-denial\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Tinubu Reshuffles Military Leadership Amid Coup Rumour Denial"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Myke Agunwa, Abuja<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Bola Tinubu has announced a major shake-up in the nation\u2019s military hierarchy, appointing new Service Chiefs in what the Presidency describes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria\u2019s national security architecture.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are speculations that the development comes against the backdrop of recent rumours of an alleged coup plot, which the Federal Government has strongly denied, insisting that the country\u2019s democratic institutions remain stable and secure.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media &amp; Public Communication, Sunday Dare on Friday, the following changes have been made:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Olufemi Oluyede is now the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing Christopher Gwabin Musa.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">W. Shaibu becomes the new Chief of Army Staff.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">S. K. Aneke is appointed Chief of Air Staff.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">I. Abbas takes over as Chief of Naval Staff.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief of Defence Intelligence, E. A. P.
