His defection follows a wave of political realignments in the state, including the recent cross-carpeting of the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly and 15 lawmakers, who defected from the PDP to the APC to \u201calign with the centre\u201d amid what they described as worsening internal crises in the opposition party at the national level.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kefas was originally scheduled to be officially received into the APC on November 19, but the event was suspended.
